"The Public Works of Sargent Johnson" at Canessa Gallery in San Francisco
"The Public Works of Sargent Johnson" was on exhibition at The Canessa Gallery in San Francisco from January - February 2012. This large format photography show was featured on satin tapestries.
Show organizer Harvey Smith, President - National New Deal Preservation Association, showed his Works Progress Administration reproduction sawhorse with accompanying historical artifacts, text and images.
This exhibition was made possible by very generous support from The Richmond Art Center (Richmond, CA) and Zach Stewart, the owner of the Canessa Gallery.
"The Public Works of Sargent Johnson" was originally commissioned by and shown at The Richmond Art Center from September - November 2010. It was funded with a grant from The San Francisco Foundation.
